One of my little morning joys is watching my points and miles rack up. Whether it’s a measly 50 points for “checking in” at a Hampton on Facebook, or earning 20,000 miles for making a major purchase, watching those numbers accumulate tickles me.
Most people who do what I do use AwardWallet as their tracking tool. AwardWallet provides a free service that helps you manage your reward balances and travel itineraries. They support 484 loyalty programs – air, hotel, car rental, credit card and others. Today, over 88,000 active members rely on AwardWallet to manage over 20.0 billion miles / points representing $400 million in value. AwardWallet is not affiliated or related to any of the loyalty programs offered by the airlines, hotels or credit cards identified on this website or tracked and monitored using the AwardWallet service.
To get started, simply go to AwardWallet.com, register for an account, and start adding your cards and reward programs. AwardWallet will make sure that it can establish a connection with each vendor — and then your work is done. Each time you open AwardWallet.com, the balances automatically update. Need to explore a particular award a little closer? Click the hyperlink to the vendor on the page to be taken to the vendor’s site.
AwardWallet helped me realize that I was spreading my points/miles over too many programs. I now focus on earning miles/points on just two vendors (Star Alliance and Hilton.)
AwardWallet is a free service, but if you donate a little cash, they will send you a credit card sized card that is customized with all of your award programs with your membership numbers. A nice little perk.
AwardWallet also sports handy apps for your phone so that you can monitor those points!
